Recently, I turned twenty nine years old. I am officially an old lady! So I'm making a list of things I'd like to do before I'm thirty. As I'm living in Japan at the moment, quite a few of these are things I'd like to do before I leave Japan.
1. Find a taiko club, learn taiko drumming and perform somewhere
2. Take more photos and get better at photography
3. Stay in a love hotel
4. Do some of the assignments from
Learning to love you more
5. Watch a baseball game in Japan
6. Visit Okinawa (or Hokkaido)
7. Make a will
8. Be able to have simple conversations in Japanese and read Hiragana and Katakana scripts
9. Travel by bullet train
10. Stay at the Chiiori house on Shikoku that Alex Kerr wrote about in
Lost Japan
11. Spend the day at Spa World
12. Climb Mount Fuji
13. Finish saving a deposit for an apartment (or a house)
14. Enter my thirties fit and healthy
15. Start making videos
16. Milk a cow
17. Take more care with my appearance and develop my personal style
18. Attend a sumo tournament
19. Blog and write my journal regularly; find inspiration from other bloggers
20. Reconnect with old friends and connect with new ones
21. Catch a fish
22. Improve my cooking skills
23. Write something that gets published
24. Learn guitar and ukulele

Let's see, before 30 you say...
13 - tick
(mostly because I hardly went anywhere, like out)
14 - vaguely, yes
2 outa 30 ain't bad.
Ha! I have no realistic way of achieving #13 while doing the rest of the list, I'm afraid.
It's a pretty specific list, isn't it? I looked up lots of other 30 before 30 lists actually, which had suggestions like 'Make a bet you couldn't afford to lose' and 'Play an elaborate practical joke on someone'; things I wasn't that interested in!
