About Susanne

Hi, I'm Susanne. Welcome to my blog!

Born and bred in Melbourne, Australia, I'm 30 years old and work in Communications.

Last year I spent twelve months living in Wakayama, Japan on the JET Programme. I lived south of Osaka in a sleepy town surrounded by rice paddies and mountains. My town is famous for Tama the Stationmaster Cat.

I'm a librarian by trade. Yes, I do like books.

I love to travel, and the best year of my life so far was spent living in the beautiful tropical islands of Samoa through the Australian Youth Ambassadors for Development Program (AYAD). This year I am a State Representative for the AYAD Program and will organise events for AYAD alumni and promote the program.

I'm interested in swing dancing, feminism, fashion, culture, reading, music, vintage style, travel, politics, food and lots of other things!

My favourite magazines are Frankie, The Monthly and Bust.

My favourite podcast is This American Life

I'm still working out exactly who I am and who I want to be. Join me on that journey!
